Wagner Jauregg Medal

The Wagner-Jauregg Medal is an award for outstanding scientific achievements in the field of neuropsychopharmacology and biological psychiatry . It is awarded by the Austrian Society for Neuropsychopharmacology and Biological Psychiatry (ÖGPB, founded in 1998).

The medal has been awarded since 2007 in memory of the Viennese Nobel Prize laureate Julius Wagner-Jauregg (1857–1940) and on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the ÖGPB. The winners are selected by the board of the ÖGPB chaired by the president.
