Oliver from Ancona
Saint Oliver of Ancona , also Oliver of Portonuovo , Oliverius or Liberius († approx. 1050), is a saint of the Catholic and Orthodox Church. His feast day is February 3rd.
He was a Benedictine monk from Santa Maria di Portonuovo , a community at the foot of Monte Conero, south of Ancona on the Italian Adriatic coast .
It is believed that he was originally from Armenia or was a Camaldolese monk from Dalmatia . In addition, practically nothing is known about St. Oliver of Ancona and his life.
Another saint named Oliver is Oliver Plunkett , a 17th century Irish bishop.
