Olivia Brown
Olivia Margarette Brown (born April 10, 1960 in Frankfurt am Main , Germany ) is an American actress .
Career
Brown began her acting career in 1977 with a guest appearance on the television series The Outsiders . At the beginning of the 1980s, further film offerings for television formats followed, but also for movies such as the thriller Just 48 Hours (1982). She played her best-known role from 1984 to 1989 in the crime series Miami Vice , in which she played Detective Trudy Joplin in 83 episodes.
Brown is best known for her work in television series, such as Designing Women , A Heavenly Family or Beverly Hills, 90210 .
Olivia Brown was married to actor Mykelti Williamson , whom she met while filming Miami Vice . After only two years, the couple separated again and she later married James Okonkwo, with whom they have two children.
Her brother Steve played for the Houston Oilers football team in the NFL in the 1980s .
