Olivier Monterrubio (born August 8, 1976 in Gaillac ) is a French football player .

Monterrubio began his professional career in 1996 at FC Nantes . In five seasons he scored 23 goals as a midfielder . In 2001 he moved to Stade Rennes (183 games, 34 goals). During the winter break of the 2006/07 season, he moved to RC Lens . From 2008 he played for FC Sion . After only one season in which he was able to celebrate the cup victory with FC Sion, he moved back to France for FC Lorient .

During his time at Stade Rennes , he was the best passer in Ligue 1 several times . Together with the Swiss Alexander Frei , he formed one of the most dangerous attacking duos at the time.
