Olli-Pekka Laine
Olli-Pekka Laine , often Oppu (* 1973) is a Finnish metal - bassist .
Laine was a founding member of Amorphis in 1990 and recorded four albums with the band before leaving in the spring of 2000. The reason given were musical differences, and Laine also wanted to focus on his family. At the end of 1999 he founded the stoner rock band Mannhai , and in 2001 he became a member of Sininen Hevonen . In 2003 Laine was a founding member of the Finnish death metal supergroup Chaosbreed , in which the former Amorphis colleague Esa Holopainen played until 2005. In 2007 he was a founding member of Barren Earth and has been active there ever since.
Laine has been back at Amorphis since 2017.
