Olli und Molli is a multi-themed magazine for first-time readers. The children are introduced to reading in a playful way. The magazine is only available by subscription ; there is no store sale. It appears monthly with a sold circulation of around 50,000 copies. The magazine is considered "educationally valuable" and is recommended by the Ministries of Education and the Reading Foundation .

While Olli and Molli is aimed at children of primary school age , Olli and Molli Kindergarten is aimed at children of kindergarten age .
