Olof Bromelius
Olof Bromelius (born May 24, 1639 in Örebro , † February 5, 1705 in Gothenburg ; also Olof Ole Bromell or Olaus Olai Bromelius in works written in Latin) was a Swedish botanist and doctor .
Honor taxon
Charles Plumier named the genus Bromelia of the plant family Bromeliaceae in his honor . Carl von Linné later took over this name.
