The Olsen Beach is a great beach on the north coast of South Georgia in the South Atlantic . In the Busen region, it is located southeast of Alert Cove on the south bank of Husvik Harbor and at the entrance to the Olsen Valley .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2013 based on the naming of the valley of the same name. Its namesake is Nils Erling Olsen (1910–1975), from 1950 to 1956 manager of the Norwegian whaling company Tønsbergs Hvalfangeri .
