The Bosnian Region is an ice-free area on the north coast of South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It is bounded to the west by Neumayer and Fortuna Glaciers , to the north by Fortuna Bay and Stromness Bay , to the east by Cumberland Bay and to the south by Cumberland West Bay . It includes the Lewin Peninsula and the whaling stations Leith Harbor , Stromness and Husvik .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2013 based on the name of the Busen Point . Its namesake is the Busen , one of the ships that were used in the survey work as part of the British Discovery Investigations in this area between 1927 and 1929.
