Omar Nino Romero

Omar Nino Romero (* 12. May 1976 in Guadalajara , Jalisco , Mexico ) is a former Mexican boxer in the flyweight .

Professional career

On August 10, 2006 he boxed against Brian Viloria for the WBC world championship and won on points. He held this belt until February 2, 2007.

On June 19, 2010 he won this title again when he unanimously defeated Rodel Mayol on points. This time he lost the belt in his second title defense in November of the same year to Gilberto Keb Baas by majority decision.
