The omega nunatak is an isolated and flattened nunatak in the East Antarctic Coatsland . It rises 34 km south-southwest of the Whichaway Nunatakker .
The first mapping was made in 1957 by participants in the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958). They named it so because it was the last rock formation sighted on the further overland route across the South Pole to Victoria Land.
