One red paperclip ( German  a red paper clip ) is a website as well as the success story of Canadian blogger Kyle MacDonald , by barter from a red paper clip arrived starting in the possession of a house, as a result of exchange series within a year.

MacDonald was inspired by the children's game “Bigger, Better”. His website gained considerable attention in the course of the barter action recorded on it. "A lot of people have been asking how I've stirred up so much publicity around the project, and my simple answer is: 'I have no idea,'" he told the BBC. In German: "A lot of people have asked how I got so much attention for the project. The simple answer is: I have no idea."

Kyle MacDonald was born in 1979 in Port Moody , a suburb east of Vancouver , and lived in Montreal with his girlfriend Dominique for years . Now he lives with her in the house in Kipling , which he received over the course of 14 exchanges. The young Canadian wrote down his experiences in his book “One Red Paper Clip”, which was also translated into German. His barter is often referred to as "the craziest internet barter in the world".
