August Dauses

August Dauses (born November 1, 1947 in Bamberg ; † May 20, 2008 in Erlangen ) was a German Romance studies and linguist .

As a pupil of Heinrich Kuen , Dauses received his doctorate in 1972 and completed his habilitation in 1977 at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Romance Philology . In 1981 he was appointed professor there. Dauses published 17 linguistic books.
