Onoe Jima (from Japanese お の え じ ま Onoe-shima , German ' ax grip island' ) is a small island off the Prince Harald coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is located in the immediate vicinity of Ono Jima in the Langhovde area .
Japanese scientists named it in 2008 based on the name of the neighboring island.
