Onos
As Ono ( Greek ὄνος , German 'donkey') is referred to a device that according to ancient authors card is used in the wool industry, especially in spinning wool.
Since another device, the epinetron , is also used for this work step, the onos is often equated with that in the literature, although ancient sources seem to distinguish between the two tools. It is believed that the Onos represented a kind of stool on which the leg that carried the epinetron was placed.
