Onosma graeca is a plant type from the genus of onosma ( Onosma ) in the family of the Boraginaceae (Boraginaceae).
description
Onosma graeca is a more or less lawn-forming, biennial plant . The stems reach heights of 10 to 30 cm. They are upright, strongly branched, finely haired and hairy with protruding, 2 to 4 mm long bristles. The lower leaves are up to 100 mm long and up to 10 mm wide, linear or linear-lanceolate.
The inflorescences are heavily branched. The flower stalks are 2 to 5 mm long, the bracts are about as long as the calyx . This is about 10 mm long at flowering time and up to 15 mm at fruit ripeness. The crown is 14 to 15 mm long, pale yellow and tinged with purple and hairy downy. It is hairless and about 1½ times as long as the calyx. The anthers are shorter than the stamens .
The fruits are about 6 to 7 mm long, warty nuts .
Occurrence
The species is widespread in central and southern Greece , the southern Aegean and Turkey.
