Onouphis
Onouphis ( Greek Ὄνουφις , Latin Onuphis ) was an ancient place in the Nile Delta in Egypt and the main town of the Nomos Onouphites . It was located at today's Mahallat Minuf , about 11 km north of Tanta . In late antiquity Onouphis was the seat of a bishop. The titular bishopric of Onuphis of the Roman Catholic Church goes back to this diocese .
