OpenManage from Dell Inc. is a collection of network management applications . Contrary to what the name suggests, it is proprietary software .

OpenManage ™ applications

IT Assistant (ITA)

The ITA is a console for managing servers, storage arrays, magnetic tape libraries , switches , printers and clients across the network. A warning and notification system proactively informs the administrator .

OpenManage ™ Enterprise (OME)

Dell EMC OpenManage ™ Enterprise is the "next generation" of the OpenManage ™ Essentials console. The OpenManage ™ Enterprise system administration console simplifies the administration, automation and standardization of IT infrastructure tasks.

OpenManage ™ Network Manager (OMNM)

With the OMNM it is possible to automatically discover network devices and display detailed information about the resources. A physical and logical topology map can also be drawn for this purpose. The devices are configured in groups. Providing firmware can be done to different devices in one operation. The administrator can track the performance of the network using dashboards . In the event of an alarm, the administrator can drill down to the device. Access is via a web GUI interface. The licenses can also be managed via License Management.

OpenManage ™ Server Administrator (OMSA)

The OMSA agent can be installed on a 32-bit and 64-bit version of Windows Server , Red Hat Linux and Novell SUSE Linux.

Server Update Utility (SUU)

The SUU includes software tools for server updates. Dell offers various tools to completely update the servers for all servers and supported operating systems from the 8th to the 14th generation.

Content manager

The Content Manager enables Dell to download update packages (DUPs). Custom repositories are used for this.

Deployment Toolkit (DTK)

The DTK provides a variety of utilities for configuring Dell PowerEdge systems. The user can create installation scripts.
