Opera IX is an Italian metal band that was founded in Biella in 1988 by Ossian (guitar).
From 1992 to 2001 Cadaveria was the singer of the band. After leaving, she founded the band Cadaveria and Madras became the band's new singer. This left the band after an album ( Maleventum ) and was replaced by M The Bard.
style
While their first demos were a mix of death , doom and black metal , the band later played dark metal . Her lyrics are about Celtic mythology , magic and paganism . The band's first three albums are characterized by extremely complex, unusually long pieces.
