Operation Fastlink

Operation Fastlink was an operation against the international warez scene, particularly against Fairlight , Kalisto, Class , Echelon and Project X. Over 120 searches in 27 US states as well as Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, the Netherlands, Singapore, Sweden and the United Kingdom were carried out on April 21 and 22, 2004. Searches were carried out in Spain on April 23. A total of 12 countries were involved in this coordinated action. The blow was directed against the heads of organized software copyright infringement under the auspices of the FBI . A total of one hundred people is determined. The success or failure of this investigation has never been fully disclosed or questioned.

According to the US Department of Justice, over 200 computers etc. a. 30 servers , which were used to archive and distribute the titles, were also ensured. The FBI also states that the total damage caused amounts to several hundred million US dollars.
