The opi is a sword of the Moro in the Philippines .
history
The opi was developed by the Moro tribes in Malaysia and came when the Moro emigrated to the Philippines.
description
The blade of the grandpa is similar to that of the Klewang . It becomes wider from the magazine to the location . The place is usually cut off at an angle. The big difference for klewang is the booklet (handle) of Opi . The handle is much larger than that of the Klewang. It is usually made of horn and is carved expansively at the rear. It consists of one piece. The shape resembles a stylized bird. The pommel is usually decorated with long strands of hair. The scabbards (opi kapan) are made of wood and are wrapped in rattan . The mouth hole is somewhat widened, sweeping on one side and carved decoratively. There are different versions that differ depending on the place of origin. The differences lie in the shape of the pommel and the scabbard.
