The Opitsvet Lake ( English ; Bulgarian езеро Опицвет esero Opizwet ) is a north-south orientation 420 m long, 410 m wide and 11 hectare large lake on the south coast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located 600 m east of Needle Peak and 2.78 km southwest of Vazov Point at the base of Samuel Point . It is separated from Brunow Bay in the east and Bransfield Strait in the south by a strip of land 70 to 150 m wide.
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2020 after the town of Opizvet in western Bulgaria .
