Opus isodomum

Opus isodomum or Isodomes masonry (from ancient Greek ἴσος equal and δόμος layer) is a masonry technique made from natural stone blocks . With isodom masonry is referred to, the square all have the same height, when pseudoisodomen masonry (Opus pseudoisodomum) the stones are within a layer the same but may be different from layer to layer.

The names used in archeology are known from Vitruvius' work De Architectura . The cuboids can be connected with mortar, but also with iron brackets.
