Orange Soil

As Orange Soil ( engl. Orange bottom ), a moon rocks referred selected from orange to a large extent glass consists fragments. It was found during the Apollo 17 mission (landing on December 11, 1972) on the moon in the Taurus -Littrow Valley at the 110-meter-wide Shorty crater .

The glass fragments are more than three billion years old and are believed to be of volcanic origin.
