Order of Freedom (Yugoslavia)
The Order of Freedom was founded on August 15, 1943 by the Anti-Fascist Council for the People's Liberation of Yugoslavia , chaired by Marshal Josip Broz Tito , and is awarded for exceptional success in leadership and command with the largest military units during a war.
Order decoration
The sign of the order is a five-pointed golden star, which is set with diamonds all around and rubies on the surface . In the center of the star is a slightly larger, round diamond. On the surface of the order lie crossed five golden swords , the intersection of which is under the diamond.
Between the rays of the star there are smaller rays that are also studded with rubies.
Carrying method
The order of freedom is worn as a breast star .
