Order of the Liberator San Martin
The Orden del Libertador San Martín , German translation: Order of the Liberator San Martin, is the highest honor in Argentina . It was established by Decree 16.628 of December 17, 1957.
The order was named after General José de San Martín , father of the nation and liberator.
The medal is awarded in particular to deserving foreign statesmen but also to private individuals who have rendered outstanding services to Argentina.
