Order from the fan

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Order of the Fan was a Prussian house order . It was donated by Crown Princess Luise Ulrike von Prussia , who later became the wife of the Swedish King Adolf Friedrich, in 1744. It was first used as a knightly order of women , but the order was later awarded to lords of the court. The order is also used in literature under the name of the donor order of Luise Ulrike and is occasionally classified as an order of knights . The time of its extinction is not known.

Order decoration

The decoration of the order consisted of a golden shield which was placed on a golden St. Andrew's cross and whose arms and a vertical bar protruded downwards. A golden royal crown floated above the medallion . A golden ring around the medallion bore the motto of the order “La raison fait ma valeur, la division me perd”.
