Order of Ladies
As Dame north is called the Order , which donated for women and could only be worn by women.
A distinction can be made between three subdivisions of women's orders : House and state orders for women ; Order of the noble ladies' pens ; Crosses of some knightly orders .
Special features of the orders of women until 1918 were:
- that most of them had only one class and, although often equated with the Grand Cross , had no breast star;
- that they were worn on a lady's bow on the left breast.
