Religious Christians are Christians who are members of a religious community are.

A basic distinction is made between:

• Religious priests addressed as Father
• Religious friars , usually with the address brother , sometimes also frater
• Religious sisters , almost always addressed as sister .

The members of monastic orders who usually live in seclusion are called monks and nuns .
