The Orford-cliff is a rocky cliff at the Loubet coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises on the east bank of the Lallemand Fjord immediately east of Andresen Island .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) carried out surveys in 1956 . Namesake Michael James Herbert Orford (1928-2010), FIDS surveying assistant on Detaille Island in 1956, who explored an ascent route over the Murphy Glacier to the Avery Plateau from there together with other FIDS employees .
