OrgasMe! ( OrgasMe !: Sex turned into a card game ) is a card game for two to six adults by the German game authors Michael Neumann and Max Haupt, which was published in 2016 by their small publisher rappel GbR. The game was realized through a successful campaign at Kickstarter.com and the theme is about delaying an orgasm for as long as possible despite constant stimuli from fellow players.

Equipment and theme

The game OrgasMe! consists of 30 fetish cards (“Preferences”), 60 attack cards, 16 reaction cards as well as four event cards and 6 OrgasMeters. In the game, the players try to stimulate the other players with attack cards so that their state of excitement, shown on the OrgasMeter, increases more and more until they get an "orgasm". The player who lasts the longest wins the game.

Style of play

To prepare for the game, each player receives an OrgasMeter and takes any object as an organ marker (the rules of the game suggest a coin, a wedding ring or a Viagra pill); this marker is placed on the starting space of the OrgasMeter. Then the fetish cards are shuffled and each player is dealt four cards face down, of which he chooses two and gives two back. The chosen fetish cards are now laid out face up in front of the player. These fetishes show the player's sexual preferences and thus which attack cards he particularly reacts to; at the same time the player gets a special ability from each of the cards. The remaining cards (attacks, reactions and events) are shuffled and laid out face down as a draw pile.

The players play one after the other in clockwise order starting with a starting player. Whenever a new player starts his turn, all players each draw one card from the draw pile. The active player attacks his teammates with his action cards during his turn, whereby in a game with two players the number of attacks is not limited and in a game with more than two players each player may only be attacked once per round. The player may end his turn at any time and if he has attacked at least one other player in a turn, he may draw a card at the end of the turn and it is the next player's turn.

If a player is attacked with an action card, their horniness increases by one point on the OrgasMeter. If the type of attack card corresponds to one or both fetishes of the attacked player, the horniness increases by an additional point per fetish that is irritated. The attacked player can defend himself against action cards with reaction cards, whereby he may use a maximum of one reaction card per attack.

The game ends when a player's OrgasMeter reaches the highest level and they have an orgasm. That player loses the game. In the “last-man-standing” variant, the remaining players continue to play until only one player remains who has not yet had an orgasm. However, as soon as there are only two players left, both players choose one of their hand cards and put the rest aside, after which they duel according to the standard rules for two players and are accordingly allowed to carry out several attacks on the opponent per round.

Development and reception

OrgasMe! was developed by the two German game designers Michael Neumann and Max Haupt and published in 2016 after a successful campaign from June 28th to July 28th 2016 on Kickstarter.com at their small publisher rappel GbR. The campaign target of 20,000 euros was reached after just 6 days and was later significantly exceeded. A total of 64,831 euros were collected from 1781 supporters for the implementation. The illustrations for the cards are by Laura Oeche.

The game OrgasMe! was presented verbatim in the Berliner Kurier and the Express as a curiosity. The game also received a very positive rating from the website spiele-akademie.de .
