Oscar Antonio Montes
Oscar Antonio Montes (born March 17, 1924 in Buenos Aires , † September 21, 2012 in Buenos Aires ) was an Argentine military, politician and criminal. During the period of the military dictatorship , he was foreign minister of his country from May 23, 1977 to November 6, 1978 .
On October 26, 2011, a court in Buenos Aires sentenced him to life imprisonment for "crimes against humanity". 16 people were charged with him. Two of the defendants were acquitted, while the others, including Alfredo Astiz , were sentenced to long prison terms.
