Oscar Witt

Oscar Witt (* 1901 ; † after 1946) was a German economist and civil servant.

Life and activity

After attending school, Witt studied economics. In 1925 he received his doctorate with a thesis on the history and design of the budget of the United States at the University of Breslau for Dr. rer. pole.

From 1926 to 1934 Witt worked in the Reich Statistical Office . In 1935 he changed as a statistician in the service of Schuh-AG BATA in Ottmuth, Upper Silesia, for which he worked until 1940. In 1942 he became a deputy board member of the same company.

Since September 27, 1945, Witt was a consultant to the Bavarian military government (Manpower Office). Since March 7, 1946 he was employed by the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs. From July 1, 1946 to December 31, 1946 head of the state settlement office of the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs.
