Osiris tomb

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Osiris Grave (English: Osiris Shaft ) is an underground tomb near the pyramids of Giza in Egypt and was discovered and documented by the Egyptologist Selim Hassan during his excavations in 1933 and 1934 . On May 4, 2016 from “Focus online”, Zahi Hawass falsely claimed in an online video and the associated article “Archaeological sensation found in pyramid”, as in the ZDF report Rätsel in Stein , that he personally discovered this facility .

The entrance is on the way to the Chephren pyramid . The facility was explored by Zahi Hawass from 2008. It is about 30 meters deep and has three levels, which are connected by shafts. It is unclear whether connecting tunnels lead to the pyramids or the Sphinx .
