Oskar Emil Wantalowicz (born August 29, 1865 in Istvándi ( Hungary ), † August 9, 1946 in Vienna ) was an Austrian writer.

Wantalowicz attended secondary and elementary schools in Klagenfurt , Troppau and Vienna. In 1889 he joined the general insurance company "Donau" in Vienna, where he was employed as an authorized signatory .

Wantalowicz wrote numerous lyrical and humorous poems, epigrams and aphorisms , mainly for various Austrian and German magazines. For example, he was a permanent employee of the Fliegende Blätter from 1889 and of the Meggendorfer Blätter from 1894 . His contributions are signed with OE Wantalowicz or with the pseudonym OEW

Wantalowicz had been married to Marie Schwarz from Vienna since 1893 and had two children, Helene (* 1894) and Ernst (* 1905).
