Oskar Justinus
Oskar Justinus Cohn (born February 21, 1839 in Breslau ; † August 6, 1893 in Bad Nauheim ) was a German journalist and writer .
Life
He came from a trading house in Breslau, which he was later to take over management. So he went through a commercial apprenticeship. His brother Ferdinand Cohn was a well-known botanist and bacteriologist. His father was the Austrian consul general and received his doctorate in old age. Justinus was not very successful as a businessman and after bankruptcy dissolved his father's trading company with loss of all assets and moved to Berlin, where he devoted himself to writing. His first play, Der Vereinheld , was performed in Wroclaw in 1861, but his next plays only appeared after a sixteen-year break. Justinus died in Bad Nauheim, where he was looking for a cure for a heart condition.
