Oskar Schmidt (artist)

Oskar Schmidt (born October 6, 1977 in Erlabrunn ) is a contemporary German artist . He lives and works in Berlin and Leipzig .

Life

From 1998 to 2002 Oskar Schmidt studied painting at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle and, from 2002, photography at the Leipzig University of Graphics and Book Art with Timm Rautert . From 2006 to 2008 he was its master student. In 2009 he received the Talents Award from C / O Berlin , in 2013 the Marion Ermer Award , in 2017 the scholarship from the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation and in 2018 a working scholarship from the Hans and Charlotte Krull Foundation .
