The Osogowo Mountains ( Bulgarian Осогово ^?^/^I or Осоговска планина / Osogowska planina , Macedonian Осогово / Osogovo ) rises in the southwest of Bulgaria and in the northeast of the Republic of North Macedonia .

At 2251 meters, the Ruen ( Руен ) is the highest peak and one of the 100 national tourist objects in Bulgaria.

The mountain range has given its name to Osogovo Bay in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands in Antarctica since 2005 .
