Ostertaltobel
The Ostertaltobel , often also called the Osterbachtobel , is a gorge leading to the Gunzesrieder Valley in the Allgäu , Bavaria ( Germany ).
Between the Otto-Schwegler-Hütte and its confluence with the Gunzesrieder Ach , the Ostertalbach , which is about 7 km long with its upper course, has dug a remarkable ravine up to 30 meters deep into the surrounding Molasse rock over the last one and a half kilometers of its northeast to northbound course in which the water falls over several steps of up to ten meters.
Along the waterfall, the Tobelweg, a slightly difficult hiking trail, is laid out, which is maintained by the municipality of Blaichach . There are large parking spaces at both the upper and lower ends of the ravine.
The Ostertaltobel is very popular with hikers and families who feel like swimming in summer.
