Oswald Ahnert
Gustav Oswald Ahnert (born August 8, 1843 in Geringswalde , † May 29, 1920 in Zwenkau ) was a German lawyer and national liberal politician .
Live and act
The son of the master shoemaker Johann David Ahnert in Geringswalde attended the local elementary school and also received private lessons. After studying law , he turned to administration. In 1872 he worked as a chancellery in the Leipzig district directorate . From 1873 he held the office of mayor of Zwenkau, to which he was elected for life in June 1883. At the same time he was the council minister and director of the municipal savings bank. He retired in 1912 at the latest.
From 1879 to 1909 he represented the 12th urban constituency in the second chamber of the Saxon state parliament . From 1883 to 1885 he held the post of Deputy 1st Secretary of the Chamber, from 1885 to 1909 he was 2nd Secretary of the Chamber. In 1904 he celebrated his 25th anniversary in parliament.
