The Oswaldibergtunnel is a tunnel on the Tauern Autobahn (A10).

The Oswaldibergtunnel is the second longest two-tube tunnel in Carinthia . It was built to direct traffic around Villach . The tunnel begins after the Villach West exit and ends before the Villach / Ossiacher See exit and crosses the Oswaldiberg .

It is 4307 m long and was opened on March 12, 1987. In 2004 the Oswaldibergtunnel was completely equipped with new safety equipment: The tunnel walls were re-coated over an area of ​​90,000 m² and the lighting and 14 escape gates were renewed. The tunnel is used by an average of 25,000 vehicles a day, 14 percent of which are heavy goods vehicles . The tunnel control center is in Zauchen . Fire protection and technical support are provided by the main fire brigades Villach, Töplitsch, Vassach and Zauchen. The tunnel was completely refurbished from September 2015. The work is expected to last until June 2017, but could be completed by the end of May. Since May 24, 2017, both tubes can be used again.
