Otfried Seewald

Otfried Seewald (born October 6, 1942 in Berlin ) is a German professor of law, especially social law, at the University of Passau .

Life

After completing his military service, Seewald completed his studies in Göttingen and Hamburg. He passed his first and second state law exams in Hamburg. He received a doctorate in administrative science. His habilitation took place in the area of ​​constitutional law / social law. While still in Hamburg he was appointed professor. Appointments to the Lüneburg University of Applied Sciences and the University of Würzburg followed . From February 1, 1985 to March 31, 2008, he held the chair for constitutional and administrative law, especially social law, in Passau. In addition, he was director of the Institute for Agricultural Law at the university there. He is married.

Seewald is also chairman of the board of trustees of the Bavarian Aids Foundation eV, member of the scientific advisory board of the organ donation working group and first chairman of the Academic Music Association Passau eV
