Wolfsoniana

The Wolfsoniana is an art collection in the Nervi district of Genoa . It is affiliated with the Gallery of Modern Art ( Italian Galleria d'Arte Moderna ) in Genoa and belongs to the Nervi museum group . The museum is located in the former ducal palace on Via Serra Gropallo in the heart of the Parchi di Nervi .

The donor of the collection is the American Mitchell Wolfson Jr. (* 1939), son of media entrepreneur Mitchell Wolfson (1900–1983). He had previously founded the Wolfsonian-Florida International University in 1995 - just like the Genoese Wolfsonia, a research center and museum for its collection of furniture , textiles and industrial design .
