Ottenby is a village belonging to the municipality of Mörbylånga on the southern tip of the Swedish island of Öland in the Baltic Sea .

The village, with fewer than 50 inhabitants (as of 2005), is the starting point of road 136, which runs along the west coast of Öland. The parallel road along the east coast also begins in Ottenby. Ottenby was of particular importance for the history of Öland because of the royal estate Ottenby kungsgård, which has been here since 1402 . The manor buildings, such as the main building from 1804, still shape the townscape today. Until the closure in the 1960s, Ottenby was also the end point of the railroad on Öland.

In the immediate vicinity, the wall of Karl X. Gustav , which belongs to the estate and runs across the island, is worth mentioning. North of the local situation is one from the Iron Age derived cemetery with 250 graves, south the the southern tip of Öland comprehensive starts Nature Reserve Ottenby . The Långe Jan lighthouse on the southern tip is also located here .
