Otto-Georg Moosdorf

Otto-Georg Moosdorf is a German violinist and conductor .

Moosdorf was a member of the Leipzig Gewandhaus for many years . In 1971 he finally founded the Leipzig Chamber Orchestra , consisting of musicians from the Leipzig Gewandhaus, and was then director of the orchestra for many years.

In 2006 he was co-founder of the Capella Via Regia chamber orchestra , of which he was an honorary mentor until 2013.

The cellist Matthias Moosdorf is his son.
