Otto Baier (entrepreneur)

Otto Baier (born December 26, 1877 in Esslingen am Neckar , † after 1953 ) was a German entrepreneur .

Career

Baier attended secondary school and then completed a commercial apprenticeship. He initially worked as an office manager at an insurance company. He continued his education with an economics degree at the Technical University of Stuttgart .

Together with his father Wilhelm (1853-1917) and his brother, he founded the Eßling wire and iron goods factory Wilhelm Baier, Eßlingen / Neckar, in Esslingen in 1901 . In 1908 the company moved to Stockdorf near Munich and was named Webasto .
