Gabriel Stegmayr (born May 13, 1988 ) is a Swedish biathlete .

Gabriel Stegmayr competes for the Dala Järna IK . He contested his first international races at the Junior World Championships 2007 in Martell , where he was 77th in the sprint and eleventh in the relay race with Sebastian Wredenberg , Johnny Gode and Erik Forsgren . At the beginning of the following season he contested his first race in the European Cup , later the IBU Cup , in Torsby , where he was 69th of a sprint. Two more races followed in Idre in 2009 , but Stegmayr has only been racing regularly since 2011 . The best result so far is a 43rd place in a pursuit race in Annecy . At the Swedish Biathlon Championships in 2012 in Östersund , Stegmayr surprisingly won the individual title with a clear lead over Pontus Olsson . He also achieved single-digit placements in all other races.
