Otto Klopsch
Otto Hermann Klopsch (born March 30, 1886 in Görlitz ; † February 14, 1941 in Berlin ) was a German actor and singer in stage and film as well as a theater director .
Live and act
The son of a warehouse clerk began his stage career in his home town of Görlitz when he was around 20 years old. In the period that followed, Klopsch worked as an actor and singer on a number of German provincial theaters, including in Bielefeld, Hanover, Potsdam, Halberstadt, Cottbus, Göttingen, Dresden, Leipzig and Frankfurt / Oder. In 1933/34 he came to Berlin for the first time. With his move to the capital of the Reich, Otto Klopsch also found access to the film industry. Especially in the years 1938 to 1940 he was a popular supporting actor and played all kinds of roles, including innkeepers, porters, constables and a police superintendent twice in a row. His last stage was Berlin's Lessing Theater. Klopsch died after a short, serious illness at the age of just 54.
