Paul Otto Richard Lange (born April 15, 1856 in Berlin ; † May 5, 1929 there ) was a German businessman and piano manufacturer .

Lange's parents were Johann Wilhelm Julius Lange, a businessman in Berlin, and Friederike Caroline Amalie, nee. Weber. He married Martha Amalie Ernestine Helene, born on October 10, 1883 in Ratibor . Schmidt.

Lange was active in Berlin as an exporter of gold strips from 1886 at the latest . In the following years he expanded his field of activity to include commission and export business with gold strips and furniture, and later also with pianinos . One of his business partners was the company " Aders & Blumberg " in Berlin, Alte Jakobstr. 65. The company founded in Berlin, which moved its headquarters to Guben in 1879 but kept a branch in Berlin, produced gold moldings, picture frames and, since 1883, pianinos. When the owners of the company, Hugo and Paul Aders, wanted to part with the Berlin piano production, Otto Lange joined Hugo and Paul Aders as a partner in the part of the company that had been separated under the name "Lange & Co., Pianofabrik". After the co-partners left, he continued the company at the previous address under the name "Otto Lange, Pianofabrik". Lange gave up the commission and export business in the following years.

On November 25, 1902, bankruptcy proceedings were opened against the assets of the piano manufacturer Lange in Berlin, Blumenstrasse 65. The piano factory was liquidated. After the liquidation of the assets by the bankruptcy trustee, a stock of 6988 Marks came to the final distribution for distribution to claims amounting to 93929 Marks. The proceedings were canceled after the closing date of June 4, 1904.
