Otto Luf from Kleve

Otto Luf von Kleve (* in the 14th century; † May 10, 1349 ) was canon in Münster .

Life

Otto Luf von Kleve was the illegitimate son of Count Cuno von Hülchrath, which is why Pope Johannes XXII. granted him dispensation for a ministry. In November 1316 the Pope ordered the dispute between Otto and the chapter of the collegiate church St. Gereon in Cologne to be settled . Otto had claimed to have received the prebend in exchange from Siegfried von Rennenberg. As a pastor of the village Ureis he received a papal commitment to a canonry in Utrecht and on the same day to a Dompräbende in Muenster. On May 13, 1351, John XXII. the prebende in Xanten, who was freed by Otto's death.
